FAQ
-
HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR HAVE TO BE?
Hair must be at least 1/4” or the size of a sprinkle long. This ensures all the hair is at least long enough for the wax to grip onto!
-
Does it hurt?
Yes! Waxing does hurt and anyone who says otherwise is lying. While we all have different thresholds for pain, waxing does cause some discomfort. I swear it’s worth the few minutes long service!
-
When should i exfoliate?
Exfoliate your skin physically 24-48 hours before your wax appointment. This ensures the skin is free of dead cells, resulting in a seamless wax!
-
how long does it last?
Smooth skin may last up to 3 weeks before you see or feel some regrowth, typically around 10 days. You will notice a few hairs here and there pop up before then, which is completely normal! Every 4-6 weeks is the recommended reschedule time to ensure we are removing the hair during the anagen growth phase.
-
can i use numbing cream?
Numbing cream is not recommended before your wax. While it may sound like a great idea, it could potentially lead to a burn from being unable feel the wax temperature. I recommend taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your wax appoinment.
-
can i wax on my cycle?
Yes! You may get a wax during your period cycle. Beware it may be a little bit more sensitive down there, but nothing you can’t handle! Just keep a tampon on and hop on the bed.
